About Me

Let me just start by saying I have always had a passion for physical fitness. I fell in love with working out in my parents’ garage at 14 years old and never looked back. The passion only grew throughout the years, and I continued to seek jobs that allowed me to channel my love and discipline to fitness through staying active and allowing me to help others in the process. With that being said, I have a background as a law enforcement officer, a Physical Education Teacher, coaching girls’ high school weightlifting, boys’ high school cross country and briefly as a Health and Wellness Coordinator for Marion County. I obtained my B.S. in Health and Wellness from Rasmussen College in 2019 (all while working full-time).

I met my husband at the gym in 2014 and we continued to workout together through the years and grew our beautiful, blended family by two boys (total of five kiddos!). We got very involved in powerlifting and participated in some small, local powerlifting competitions that I am proud to say I won, but let’s not forget that I also changed a diaper in between being called to lift! I was very proud of being strong, not just for me, but by setting an example for my kids and the importance of caring for yourself! After a few years of powerlifting, we decided to give our joints a break and go back to our body building style workouts.

In August of 2021, I was pregnant with my youngest and got extremely sick with COVID. At 25 weeks pregnant, I almost didn’t come back home to my family. The good Lord above knew my time here wasn’t finished and allowed me to regain strength and air back into my lungs (against what everyone was originally told), and I was able to return back home. COVID was absolutely one of the hardest illnesses I’ve ever had to recover from, but I was bound and determined to get better and get back into the gym, putting all of my focus into being able to breathe and function normally. That being said, I was doing Cross-Fit, lifting weights and jogging again when my son was just one year old and am happy to report that he was born with zero issues. My husband and I decided, after almost being a number lost to COVID, I was going to be a stay-at-home-mom as of 2022. Best. Decision. Ever!

Fast forward to November 2024, an MRI revealed that my left knee was injured. I had to put a pause on my running (even though I enjoyed it), and certain exercises as they only made the problem worse. Surgery had to happen if I wanted to avoid a knee replacement, so I had surgery on my knee in July 2025, revealing that I had a microfracture in my tibia. I put if off for a while as my father passed away of cancer that same year—that was not an easy road. I did my physical therapy and, after six very long weeks of no-weight bearing on my left side, I was able to start building my strength back. Following my recovery, I took it upon myself to get certified as a Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach with NASM. I feel this is something I should have done a long time ago, but… I FINALLY DID IT!

One more thing I want to add—Life is crazy. Things happen and you will get thrown a curve ball or two. It’s not about falling, it’s about getting back up and dusting yourself off. Consistency over perfection every single day. If you’re ready to dive into a better version of yourself, I am more than ready to help you on your fitness journey and be your coach along the way. You know my story. I’m ready to be a part of yours! Thanks for taking the time to get to know me.
